DRP has been known to the drag racing community for almost
one year now, and has gained tremendous popularity. We serve our viewers by providing up
to date news about events, infuse the correct information regarding high-performance
products and services as well as driving and racing techniques. We do this all in the name
of elevating the sport of drag racing in the Philippines to an international level. Our new project of forming an ALL GIRL drag racing team is aimed at
increasing the scope of drag racing to the female racers. This sport we love knows no
limitation to either sex. To prove this, we want to show the Filipino people that ANYONE
can race and win on the strip! |
| When Shirley Muldowney, in the mid 60's became the FIRST
woman to qualify as a TOP FUEL driver, she opened the sport to a whole new market of drag
racers. Today, we have the pleasure of watching the likes of Lisa Kubo make blazing runs
down the 1320 in the Pro Honda Class, Angelle Savoie became the only other female to win
Winston championship (Pro Stock bikes) in a professional category and Melanie Troxel
became the Quickest and fastest female drag racer in the world! |

DRP's aim is to to provide a starting point for our lady drag
racers to learn the finer points of racing down the 1/4 mile. We want to develop a group
of dedicated racers that further the involvement of more girl racers to compete side by
side with the current crop of drag racers.

The team will compete in all (if possible)
drag racing events held in the Metro Manila area, and possibly in the future, races held
elsewhere in the Philippines (with sponsorship).
DRP feels that the Drag Racing Pinay team can really make an impact on the sport. The
exposure that the team members will get will be unparalleled and should draw larger crowds
to the events.
